OGUN ASSEMBLY SCREENS SUBEB NOMINEES, AS IFEDE ASSURES ON QUALITY SERVICE
Ogun State House of Assembly today screened the nominees whose names were contained in a list forwarded to it by Governor Dapo Abiodun for appointment to the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
Presiding over the screening, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, described the nominees as competent individuals, who had distinguished themselves in different areas of appointments in the past, while encouraging them to bring their wealth of experience to bear in their new assignments if confirmed by the Assembly.
He charged them to discharge their duties with integrity and to be committed to advancing basic education programmes in the State.
Speaking on behalf of the nominees, Evangelist Joshua Ifede, expressed appreciation to Governor Abiodun for their nomination, promising to lead the board with commitment, capacity and transparency.
He assured that if confirmed by the Assembly, he would lead a team of committed individuals to build on legacy of service through innovation and better human and material resources management as was done when he was the Chairman of the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM).
