OGUN ASSEMBLY HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS’ FORUM ON BILL SEEKING ESTABLISHMENT OF DIVERSITY, INCLUSION COMMISSION

Ogun State House of Assembly will on Wednesday, 19th November, 2025 hold a stakeholders forum on “a bill for a Law to establish the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion ( DEI) Commission to serve as a catalyst and a platform for the promotion of equitable representation, parity, entrenched of social justice and the prohibition of discrimination against vulnerable groups in all spheres of life and related matters” in the State.

A release by the Clerk/ Head of Legislative Service, Mr. Sakiru Adebakin stated that the public hearing was meant to harness inputs of all stakeholders towards achieving an all encompassing bill by ensuring the enhancement of diversity, equity and inclusion of all, to promote social justice.

The forum according to the release would take place at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta at 10. 00am; while all invited stakeholders are expected to be seated at 9.30am.
