OGHA PASSES CONSUMER PROTECTION LAW, APPOINTS TWO NEW DEPUTY CLERKS

OGUN WOMEN AFFAIRS MINISTRY ACHIEVES 58 PERCENT REVENUE TARGET WITHIN NINE MONTHS

The Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development says it has so far achieved over 58% of its revenue target for the 2023 fiscal year in its bid towards building a just society devoid of discrimination against women, ensure continuous empowerment and protection of the rights of children.

The State Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Hon. Adijat Adeleye represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Melutia Ogunremi, stated this while appearing before the House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development led by Hon. Olanrewaju Bakare at the 2023 budget performance appraisal at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

The Commissioner assured that the Ministry would continue to invest in women, men, young and old in a gender responsive manner for sustainable development in the State.

Responding, the members of the House Committee led by Hon. Bakare commended the Ministry with a task to them to further synergize with the Assembly members with a view to ensuring that all target groups and individuals identified in their programmes are reached seamlessly through their representatives.
