OGUN SPEAKER ADMONISHES STAFFERS ON RENEWED DEDICATION TO DUTY

The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, has admonished members of staff of the Assembly to renew their commitment to the ideals of public service with a view to further contributing meaningfully to the activities of the State Legislature, as an arm of government that represents the interest of the common man for the overall development of the State.

Elemide, gave the admonition during an inter-denominational prayer with the Management and Staff of the Assembly to mark the begining of the new year held at the Conference Hall of the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

He explained that the State Legislature under his leadership required the sustenance of a value-driven public service ideals to continue to play a pivotal role in the enactment and implementation of people-oriented legislations, hence, the need for them to redouble their efforts at ensuring the success of the tenth Legislature.

He implored them to promote more innovative ideas, embrace openness, loyalty and strong commitment to the growth of the State, while assuring that the Leadership of the House would continue to strive to prioritize their well-being and welfare.

In his remarks, the Clerk / Head of Legislative Service, Mr. Sakiru Adebakin, commended the staff for their steadfastness and improved productivity in the previous year, challenging them to continue to be good ambassadors through improved commitment to duty, truthfulness, loyalty and persistence which were the hallmarks of the public service.

Adebakin, urged the staffers to be guided by the dictates of the public service rules; thereby promoting the legacies of the founding fathers in contributing to the development of the State.
