OGUN ASSEMBLY TO HOLD STAKEHOLDERS' MEETINGS ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY

OGHA ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMITEE COMMENDS GOV. ABIODUN ON WATER SUPPLY, URGES EXPANSION

Ogun State House of Assembly through its Committee on Public Accounts and Anti-Corruption has commended the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his efforts in improving water supply across the State and urged him to intensify efforts at extending the distribution to more communities in the State.

The Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Damilare Bello, in company of other members of the Committee gave the commendation, while playing host to officials of the State Water Corporation led by the Consultant to the Governor on Water, Mrs. Muheenat Jaji, during the ongoing consideration of the 2024 Auditor-General’s Report on State Ministries, Departments and Agencies at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

The House Committee also lauded the Corporation for its revenue drive and directed it to submit its just concluded audit reports from 2020 to 2024, including supporting documents on the supply of chemicals and details of funding received from development partners.

Also, the House Committee has directed the State Forestry Plantation Project, Area J4, led by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Forestry, Dr. Adekunle Oyesanwen, to present its financial reports, provide supporting documents on roads and bridges, and submit its bank statements covering January to December of the year under review to the Committee to aid the consideration of the Plantation’s financial records.
