Ogun State State House of Assembly has passed a resolution addressing the leadership crisis leading to the exclusion of indigenes from the administration of the Cattle Market at Imowo, in Ijebu North- East Local Government Area of the State.

The passage of the resolution followed the presentation of the report of the House Committee Committee on Agriculture by its Chairman, Hon. Waliu Owode, who also highlighted the committee’s findings on the administration of the market and the security concerns arising from the lingering dispute.

Hon. Owode thereafter moved for the adoption of the report, which was seconded by Hon. Olusegun Kaka Odunuga; while the Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Ademola Adeniran, subsequently moved that the report be adopted as a resolution of the House and was seconded by Hon. Wasiu Ayodele, leading to the formal approval of the committee’s recommendations by the Assembly.

Following the adoption, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, directed the Clerk of the House/ Head of Legislative Service, Mr. Sakiru Adebakin, to forward the copies of the resolutions and its recommendations to the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and other relevant stakeholders for necessary action.

In another development, a bill titled: “H. B. No. 031/ OG/ 2026- Vehicle Inspection Services (Establishment) Bill, 2026 scaled first reading at the plenary, as the Clerk/ Head of Legislative Service read the bill for the first time before the State lawmakers.
