HON. WALIU IFEDOLAPO OWODE, fondly and proudly known as “OLOGUN EBI”, a name he earned through his remarkable acts of philanthropy and unwavering commitment to the welfare of others.

Born over four decades ago into the illustrious Royal Families of the Owode Dynasty and the Oguntayo descendants of Ijebu Ife and Ijebu Imushin, he has remained a shining example of dignity, leadership, and community spirit. His academic journey began at Fluorescent International Nursery and Primary School, Ipaja, continued at the historic Ijebu Ode Grammar School, and flourished at the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB), where he earned both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. He is also an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, further solidifying his professional grounding.

A man deeply committed to service, Hon. Waliu Owode (Ologun Ebi) is a Rotarian per excellence, a staunch supporter of the Isapodo Youth Development Association, and the Vice Chairman of the Ijebu Ife Central Association for Development. He further distinguishes himself as the President of Ijebu Ife Club 25, where his leadership continues to inspire unity and progress.

In recognition of his deep cultural roots and invaluable contributions, he proudly holds the prestigious chieftaincy title of Akinrogun of Bobagunwa Akile Ijebu. His tireless impact has also earned him numerous accolades, including the distinguished honor of being named among the 50 Most Industrious Ijebu Indigenes, alongside many other awards celebrating his excellence.

A philanthropist of repute, Hon. Owode embodies the legacy of generosity and compassion handed down by his late father, Alhaji Otunba Ganiu Owode, leaving indelible marks of kindness wherever he goes.

Today, he serves with distinction as a Member of the Ogun State House of Assembly and as the Chairman, House Committee on Agriculture and Food Security, where he plays a vital role in shaping policies that safeguard food systems and empower communities across the State. Currently, he was appointed as the deputy minority whip of the House.

Above all, he is a devoted husband and father, happily married and blessed with three beautiful children.
